Summary of organization’s accomplishments
 
Support Group for Domestic Violence Woman in the community, Offered workshops on different issues for women, collected: toiletries, shoes, clothes, and adopted a Domestic Violence family for Christmas, provide meals, and talked to many domestic violence women on the phone/through social media and helped with resources.

Describe your agency’s work:
The mission of My Healing Within is to advocate for and empower domestic violence survivors by providing free, safe, and confidential shelter and support services.

What motivates you to serve?
 
A survivor myself, I have made it my mission to assist other women and their children as they seek to rebuild their lives in a safe environment. I wants to take more action to assure that women in abusive relationships have access to living and mental health resources they need in order to establish their independence and healing.  I serves survivors from all walks of life, with compassion, empathy, exceptional service, and integrity.
 

How has your work touched the lives of youth and others in your community
We were able to give many women resources to get out of a domestic violence situation. And, gave them hope that things will get better!

Do you have a personal motto or Bible verse that guides your life?
 
I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthening me! Philippians 4:13

Describe your family: (spouse, children, etc.)
 
One daughter, name Courtney that loves to help others as well.

What advice would you offer to others wanting to serve?
 
Volunteering is important because it provides assistance to organizations that are aimed to better the community. It will make you feel good while you doing it when you see that you are putting a smile on someone’s face.
