"That kinda looks like me!" That was the immediate reaction from six year old Sinaa when she opened her copy of the book, "I am Enough," by Grace Byers.

We firmly believe that it is important for our girls and young women to see themselves in the books that they read. She received a donation of books from Young Women of Promise and ENC Voices of Youth as part of our Summer of Awesome Reading (SOAR) literacy program.

A Promise to Read is the youth literacy initiative of Young Women of Promise, Inc.  Our students are given books to read and discuss.  Our book donations help them to begin or enhance their home reading collections.
